Long time friends and arts collaborators
Dave Houston & Andy Jans-Brown have been collaborators on many projects. They have made theatre shows, films, video clips and recorded numerous albums over the years. Dave & Andy have known each other since they were 16 and have developed an innovative and creative model of participatory creative arts projects. This involves a collaborative partnership between the sectors of Health, Education & The Arts. Working in schools and communities over several weeks to create theatrical and digital content.

ANDY JANS-BROWN is a prolific multi-disciplined artist, who works through the mediums of film, music, theatre and art. As a singer songwriter Andy is a multiple award winning film maker and composer. As a musician he has toured extensively both in Australia and abroad. He has opened the show for Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds fronting his then Sydney band 'Iris'. He has had his songs played on national radio triple J, and had his film clips broadcast on RAGE. Whilst leading his band Andy Jans-Brown & Cosmic, he has produced 2 critically acclaimed double albums - 'Letting Go' (2012) and 'Sunshine Avenue' (2014) and has just completed and released a new double album (vinyl) and multiple award winning feature film 'Hell is Light'
DAVE HOUSTON Dave has been working professionally in theatre since 1988 and is an experienced writer, actor, director, teacher and musician. A graduate of VCA (Acting) he has created more than 23 professionally theatre shows and over 35 shows for community organisations. He has toured his shows to International Festivals and around Australia. His solo theatre show, ‘Going My Way?’ toured to Edinburgh, gaining 4.5 star reviews in the Fringe. He has toured International Festivals in Europe, Asia and Oceania, worked on radio for three years (3RRR) and worked as a musician recording albums in Mexico City, Bryon Bay, Arnhem Land and Melbourne. As well as his band projects he has released 2 solo albums and one Punk EP. He has recently created his 2nd Solo show which is touring the east coast of Australia in March and overseas in April. It's called Still Here
Dave has worked in Mexico & Thailand with theatre companies and musicians collaborating on creating theatrical work and records and has made several shows over long term residencies with at risk teenagers. He has led and developed more than 10 theatre projects in a Community Cultural Development framework. Some of these have involved working with senior citizens and young people together. He is experienced working with local government, mental health stakeholders, sponsors and service providers across the sectors of arts, health, tourism & education.

ANDY JANS_BROWNS debut feature film - HELL IS LIGHT is a film and original music soundtrack set in Northern NSW looking at love and the impact of The Ice Epidemic. Romeo and Juliet meet Breaking Bad set in the idyllic beach town of Byron Bay. The film is an award winning feature length arthouse psychedelic soap opera music film and features an original indie rock and electro music odyssey soundtrack by Andy Jans-Brown.
