RISING

Stories of loss, hope and transformation
by Byron High School & Full-On Theatre 2022

A 60 minute theatre show inspired by true stories of those impacted by flood and bushfire disasters, this theatre show wove stories, live music, dance, comedy  and everyday characters who face the reality and effects of climate change.  A topical show created & performed by a cast of 16  Year 11 Drama Students.
Rising was a project from February-August 2022  led by
Dave Houston,  with Adrienne Meg Lester,  Mitch King, Lainie Chait and  Byron High drama teacher Simone Museth.

The  intention of this project was to promote personal and community trauma recovery through sharing art and stories, which  is a very beautiful way of taking the past that’s been destroyed and making something beautiful for the future.

During 2022 Full-On Theatre was a theatre company in residence at Byron Bay High School 2022.
