DRUNKFLIX

Kindly funded by the City Of Yarra and VicHealth 2019-2020 The Project was based in Collingwood College 2020 during the pandemic, which made the creation of the film even more amazing. The objective of the project was to investigate youth alcohol culture in Yarra Council (Melbourne). Lead Teacher was Alex McDonald, Facilitators Dave Houston, Cam Venn & Jono Chong

HORSHAM YOUTH FILM PROJECT        Alcohol Youth Culture Documentary

Horsham Rural City Council worked with Dave Houston and Full On Theatre to engage young people around issues they face surrounding the alcohol culture. The project was held over 1 term at St Bridget's College in Horsham. Dave Houston  and Cam Venn were amazing to work with and the students absolutely loved it! An extremely reliable company who went above and beyond to ensure the young people were engaged throughout the process and wanted to come back for more!!

The documentary was a great success and the facilitators and young people were part of a forum with drug and alcohol experts, health professionals, police and motivational speakers that was held for parents .  Dave & Cam had some fantastic wellbeing and drama exercises that were used in the process of developing the documentary. This documentary forms a very important tool to contribute to discussions around risky behaviour in the culture of youth drinking. It has become a launching pad for discussions amongst students, parents and teachers.
