Who are Ta Lent Show?  

Ta Lent Show creates work that is suitable for kids and adults. Their stories use humour, physical theatre, mime, comedy and puppetry to delightfully entertain and grow the audience's imagination. Their shows are delivered with a beautiful creative playfulness for kids while at the same time providing deep moments of pathos for adults. Across Asia they are loved by both adults and kids alike. 

THE COUPLE
A show about love - full of pathos and humour

A beautiful work of theatre that explores the highs and lows of a relationship through comedy and pathos. Relying on sharp physical theatre, ingenious mine, creative object theatre, cleverly delivered slapstick and powerful dramatic moments. The Couple is a sequence of short vignettes, woven into a narrative arc that explores universal themes of connection, jealousy, kindness, patience, loss and love.  This show works for teenagers and adults as well as children 10+.

PLAY FROM HOME - an imaginative journey when stuck in a world locked down

PLAY FROM HOME was made in Bangkok during the lockdowns caused by the pandemic. An imaginative solo show  that weaves  a variety of performance styles including  object theatre, creative mime, comedy and nonverbal communication. Household items come alive to tell stories of bullying, friendship, and connection, a  single pillow tells an entire underwater adventure and simple stationary supplies combat loneliness and isolation. Suitable for 4+ and adults.

WORKSHOPS FOR KIDS TO ADULTS -  creative mime & object theatre

Two unique workshops from Ta Lent Show.  All workshops are age specific  and range in time from 45 minutes to all day.  

CREATIVE MIME WORKSHOP - Learn physical theatre skills and techniques from one of Thailand's best physical theatre artists Ta - Nuttapol Kummata. The workshop covers contemporary mime as a tool for embodied storytelling, character development, and devised theatre-making in a playful safe place. 

OBJECT THEATRE WORKSHOP - A workshop that gives you the skills to animate everyday objects. Using games and exercises geared to activate the imagination and understand that stories are hidden away in everyday objects. Learn how to work collaboratively to develop impromptu storylines. Emphasis is placed on play, improvisation and creativity as we bring characters and stories to life.

TA  LENT SHOW     Ta - Nuttapol Kummata is the Artistic Director and founder of Ta Lent Show. He has been performing since he was 20 and has created numerous physical theatre, movement, puppet and mine based theatre works that have toured extensively nationally  and internationally. 

Based in Bangkok, Ta Lent Show has quickly become a festival favourite touring Thailand, Indonesia, Korea,Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Sweden and Scotland.  During the pandemic Ta’s solo show, ‘Play from Home’  was broadcast to a range of major festivals across the USA & Canada. In June 2023 the company will tour Korea (ASSITEJ) before heading to the Avignon Festival, France and then to Australia in December 2023. 

'Play from Home' is performed is created & performed by Ta and 'The Couple' has been created and performed by Ta and May - Nattaporn Mayped Thanhahuad a film school graduate who has since become an up and coming physical theatre performer in Thailand. The duo spent 4 months making this hit show.
